so old

I am 21 years old. I am sitting at home on a Saturday night.  Except for Aiden I am alone.  I still am planning what I will be when I grow up.  I still am working on plans for crazy trips I want to take and things I want to do.  I still have the majority of my life left to live.  So why am I so content being here under my blankets watching a movie and writing a blog?  When did I get so old?

Maybe you just haven't gotten a good chance to try your party girl hat on yet!!

Personally, I like being home on Saturday nights...but it's been a LONG time since I was 21!

Thanks for stopping by.

I am 22 an di have 2 kids (age 2 and 3). I love being home on a Saturday night also. I dont think you are old i think you have just left the party life behind. Although i miss it sometimes i wouldnt change a thing. I grew up fast when i got pregnant at 18 but i accepted that responsibility and took it on head first. Now i would rather be at home than at the club (which is such a huge turn around from the 18 yo me lol). I do go out on occasion but only to dinner with other mommy firends (and some non mommy friends). We may have a few drinks and some good food but we are always home by 10 which may sound "old" to some but we enjoy our adult life.

I said all that just to say dont feel alone cause you are not the only one who enjoys being at home in a weekend!

It's called maturity :)! Kids will do that to you (or at least they should)!

I agree with the other commenters. Age and experience is one way to mature you. Kids take it to another level. In your case, you're maturing at a faster rate than many of us. (I didn't get the maturity training that comes from parenting until I was 30.)

And as for going to bed early-- who wouldn't do that when they live with their own personal boot camp trainer?

I totally understand. But didn't you feel so cozy and warm on the couch with your laptop? That's how I spent my Saturday - it was great.

Your not old honey... just content, smart, and a good role model for your little man.
Keep it up... your not missing much out partying.

A few of my favorite things!
